[edit] Height

  • Many sources give the height as 55 feet, but Howell (see Vulcan statue#References), who performed exhaustive first-hand measurements during the restoration, gives the height as 56 feet. --Dystopos 00:20, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Flesh color

"he was repainted flesh color..." Which colour is that?

I didn't actually see it, that's just what the reference said. Probably beige considering the cultural expectations of the time, the place, and the subject. --Dystopos 14:14, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Largest statue constructed in the US?

Christ of the Ozarks seems to be larger. Pfly 04:21, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

When combined with his "pedestal," Vulcan stands 179 ft, nearly tripling the height of the Christ of the Ozarks statue. Morte42 (talk) 01:43, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
