[edit] German wiki

Sam, the German Wikipedia describes the Vril society as complete fiction in the very first sentence. Andries 06:48, 24 Jul 2004 (UTC)

It sounds like junk to me also, but appears to be a real story, if nothing else. I have never heard of it until I found it on nazi mysticism myself, but we need to be impartial. Can we find some sources which believe it existed? Does anyone today claim to be/have been a member? Where does this story come from, etc... Sam [Spade] 05:38, 26 Jul 2004 (UTC)
The german article is very insightful, but is very short, w only german references. I think more verification would be best. Is this "vril" the source of the endlessly amusing "nazi's on the moon" stories? When I was young I studied paranormal/cult fringe theories, and the idea of nazi's on the moon was always quite funny to me as a boy, partially because of its possibilty (nazi's had the v-2 rocket, and most of the NASA space program came from operation paperclip... ;) Sam [Spade] 05:48, 26 Jul 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Dispute

I will be removing the dispute header shortly, as we now have a great deal of references that many people believed/believe in "vril". The article should reall be focusing on vril rather than the society aspect... I think I may move the page. Sam [Spade] 06:16, 26 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I moved the page. Feel free to explain objections, and what facts there may be. I am very dubious of Eric P Wijnants being any better a source of information than the various (likely insane ;) individuals in my citations. Does he have any special expertise? Sam [Spade] 06:31, 26 Jul 2004 (UTC)
