I'd like to see a source for the sentence "The name of the town comes from the Dutch "Vrijheid en Hoop", translating as "Freedom and Hope" in English." Vreed could also come from the Dutch "Vrede", Peace. NL-Ninane (talk) 07:27, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
