Hey, I found that you help editing a lot of gay-related topics. I am wondering if you can add something to the History of Homosexuality? --FallingInLoveWithPitoc 11:33, 3 Nov 2003 (UTC)
- I tried to add you using ID Voyager640 at Yahoo, but was told that the user does not exist?! Maybe you can add me, my ID at Yahoo is gboycn2003. --FallingInLoveWithPitoc 15:34, 3 Nov 2003 (UTC)

- Sorry that I seldom log in that account, because the internet connection here sucks. and there is no one in my list (i just applied for that account because u asked me to add you). anyway, i try to log in that as often as possible, but i guess the time zone should be considered :D. u can email me if you like. BTW, can you check out the article Homosexuality in China? Pick up the errors there and improve that, thanks! --FallingInLoveWithPitoc 09:03, 18 Nov 2003 (UTC)
It didn't look so bad at AIDS. Perhaps the history is worse than the present article? - Nunh-huh 07:23, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)

I just read Techniques of the Contemporary Composer. It was pretty good, great, given such a scope. He is now a source on Tonality, Experimental music, and a few other pages. Hyacinth 07:57, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

[edit] What was the article?
Looks like it was fully deleted; do you remember or have a saved copy of that article? Sounds hilarious just from the title alone. Hbdragon88 05:18, 20 August 2005 (UTC)
- It was just a stub that I created because someone used it in a slippery slope argument and so I created the page as a joke. Voyager640

[edit] Defenestrate
Good word! Thanks for the suggestion. It would, however, have deflowered the simplicity of the comment. Eddie.willers 01:07, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Queer theory addition
Hi, just a note to let you know that I moved your recent addition to queer theory to its talk page. The reasons why are on the talk page. I didn't want to come off as sounding harsh or as if I didn't think the addition was worthwhile - I do, I just think it needs more work. -Seth Mahoney 01:59, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Arians
I've noooo idea how I'm meant to reply to comments here - you just left me one asking what an Arian Unitarian was and I made a proper account in the hope of responding. Anyways, there's a page on the Arians - Arius was basically the early Christian voice of literal unitarianism (ie belief in one God rather than the Holy Trinity, usually implying that Christ wasn't divine, or at least not as divine as God) and Newton was very fond of his ideas. Seeing his name on the Notable Unitarian Universalists list made me a little sceptical of said list - I think it's a flaw that it makes no distinction between famous members of the UU church and famous people who happened to be non-Trinitarian Christians. (Newton was a fanatical Biblical literalist, so the UU of today would horrify him.) I'd try reorganising said list with that in mind if it weren't for the fact that I've only heard of about 5% of the people on it. ><
[edit] Foucault
I'm not really up for that (off wikipedia Foucault discussion). That said, I good place to pose questions is the foucault.info email discussion list, which I do participate in. XmarkX 07:12, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia Anti-war project, push to get a featured article b4 Xmass
February 15, 2003 anti-war protest, an article which is part of the WikiProject Anti-war of which you are listed as a member, has been recently rated A-class by the Version 1.0 Editorial team (see here) This means that it is considered to be of good quality. The Anti-war project has yet to achieve a featured article but with a little pushing I feel we could get this article up to FA standards. To this end I have put the article up for peer review, if you could help make this a brilliant article that would be much appreciated. Please give your comments at Wikipedia:Peer review/February 15, 2003 anti-war protest/archive2 or on the article's talk page. Fingers crossed for a FA before Xmass.--JK the unwise 13:06, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] gay rights
Good edit on gay rights, but you need to source it or else it probably will get deleted for being stating the unsourced POV that says the media might maybe possibly be selling out to gay rights activists. "Sez who?" is the relevant question here. See talk:Gay rights.
- Well, it's not without a source, I just can't remember where I've heard that argument before. I don't think unsourced POVs are supposed to be deleted, just sourced... Voyager640 18:48, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] New user on Wikibreak
Yes a new user can be on wikibreak but considering that he only made one contribution to wikipedia and it was back in July I think its safe to asume that he wont be coming back. — Moe ε 15:43, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

- Well, you mean friend as in "wikipedia friend" or "meet them in real life friend"? If the latter, why hasn't he been on Wikipedia? Do you know why he quit? Usually we add people to the Esperanza stress list if they have quit or went on wikibreak because of high stress. If he is absent because of real-life stress, I guess he can be on the stress list. If he's just taking a break, theres no need to add him to the stress list. — Moe ε 01:35, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Hello, fellow Esperanzians! This is just a friendly reminder that elections for Administrator General and two advisory council positions have just begun. [edit] Request for your input
I saw that you support the wikipedia policy against information suppression. Currently there is a VfD and RfC on an article of a scientific researcher that has made large and verifiable contributions to science and society, at Edward Smith (psychologist). I have verified the findings myself via observation and experimentation, so the findings are clearly real. However, Edward Smith has not been published in any major scientific journal, it is uncertain if he has gone through the official educational system, and even his identity is uncertain. Some people believe that any such subtle-but-important people that lack those social prerequisites can not make major contributions to society, and especially scientific advancement, and that any of their contributions are non-verifiable, period, despite methods of verification being outlined by the discoverer. I am curious what your stance on this matter is. IrreversibleKnowledge 19:18, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikiproject anti-war, Article improvement drive
February 15, 2003 anti-war protest an article from the WikiProject Anti-war, which you are listed as a member of, has been nominated for the Article Improvement Drive (by me ).
It is an article about a day of much importance both to the history of the anti-war movement and to general discussion of the Iraq war. With a little work from experienced editors it could gain FA status. If you would like to see it improved please vote for it at Make "February 15, 2003 anti-war protest" the subject of an Article Improvement Drive--JK the unwise 13:28, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] An Esperanzial note
As I remember, the last spam that was handed out was on the 20th of December last year, so I think it's time for another update. First and foremost, the new Advisory Council and Administrator General have been elected. They consist of myself as Admin General and FireFox, Titoxd, Flcelloguy and Karmafist as the Advisory Council. We as a group met formally for the first time on the 31st of Decembe. The minutes of this meeting can be found at WP:ESP/ACM. The next one is planned for tonight (Sunday 29 January) at 20:30 UTC and the agenda can be found at WP:ESP/ACM2.
In other news, Karmafist has set up a discussion about a new personal attack policy, which it can be found here. Other new pages include an introductory page on what to do when you sign up, So you've joined Esperanza... and a welcome template: {{EA-welcome}} (courtesy of Bratsche). Some of our old hands may like to make sure they do everything on the list as well ;) Additionally, the userpage award program proposal has become official is operational: see Wikipedia:Esperanza/User Page Award to nominate a userpage or volunteer as a judge. Also see the proposed programs page for many new proposals and old ones that need more discussion ;)
Other than that, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you an Esperanzially good new WikiYear :D Thank you! --Celestianpower háblame 16:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Another Esperanzial note...
Hi again Esperanzians! Well, since our last frolic in the realms of news, the Advisory Council has met twice more (see WP:ESP/ACM2 and WP:ESP/ACM3). As a result, the charter has been ammended twice (see here for details) and all of the shortcuts have been standardised (see the summary for more details). Also of note is the Valentines ball that will take place in the Esperanza IRC channel on the 14th of February (tomorrow). It will start at 6pm UTC and go on until everyone's had enough! I hope to see you all there! Also, the spamlist has been dissolved - all Esperanzians will now recieve this update "newsletter".
The other major notice I need to tell you about is the upcoming Esperanza Advisory Council Elections. These will take place from 12:00 UTC on February 20th to 11:59 UTC on February 27th. The official handing-over will take place the following day. Candidates are able to volunteer any time before the 20th, so long as they are already listed on the members list. Anyone currently listed on the memberlist can vote. In a change since last time, if you have already been a member of the leadership, you may run again. Due to the neutrality precident, I will not vote for anyone.
Yours, as ever, Esperanzially,

Since this isn't the result of an AC meeting, I have decided to go Old Skool. This note is to remind you that the elections are taking place now and will end at 23:50 UTC on 2006-04-29. Please vote here. Thanks. --Celestianpower háblame 20:42, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

[edit] Your Recent WP:AFD Votes
Dear Voyager640: Just a quick and friendly reminder that WP:ITSUSEFUL and WP:ILIKEIT are both examples of unacceptable vote justifications in AFD discussions. I've noticed that your self-published reasons for the majority of your recent votes tend to revolve around these two.
Keep in mind, I'm not trying to put you down or diminish your right to make your opinion known, I'm just informing you that these sort of responses are generally held in very low esteem (obviously enough so that they created specific articles on them). It would probably be good if you used more factual and policy-driven justifications for your votes, i.e- "Delete- non-notable per WP:BLAH" or "Keep- Google search shows 568 hits, passes WP:NOTE". Thanks, and happy editing. Bullzeye (Ring for Service) 23:08, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism of Queer Theory
I stopped by 65.115.176.50's user talk page and put a note about their apparent failure to understand the NPOV Policy. Voyager640 16:01, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pup-play
Hey Voyager, for the wikilink to work, you need the hyphen and a lowercase "p" on "play". You might want to create redirects from the other versions: Pup play, Pup-Play, Pup Play. Aleta Sing 20:59, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pup-play AFD close and merge
I've closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pup-play with a decision to merge the article into per the suggestions that you and Aleta (talk · contribs) added there. Would the two of you be willing to take care of actually merging it and doing the redirect? You had the best arguments for what should be merged and you had a plan for the article, so I think you'd do a better job of merging and updating the content. The AFD also had a consensus that we should only use reliably sourced information in it, so I'd recommend removing any material that's unsourced or that seems to be personal opinion. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 15:50, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
