Despite the grand title, seems like a relatively minor marketing effort for online artists. The site has been in existence for about a year. --LeeHunter 14:55, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC) Information for Lee Hunter (just some): http://www.artingrid.de/1sthourwebists1.htm Webism connects the world - even mayors are involved: Artsts Dr. Rodney Chang (Pygoya)/USA, Ingrid Kamerbeek/Germany, Bernard Dumaine honored by Sonthofen Lord Mayor Hubert Buhl with town hall pin for their worldwide efforts to make this world a bit more peacefully with the help of this new "ism" WEBISM which goes far beyond art: http://www.artingrid.de/sonthofenheimathaus.htm

Webism has nothing to do with advertising. It's global culture. Google knows a lot about Webism and Webists. Impressive for just 1 year on the web.

Well, Webism is an art movement. Like Cubism. -- Mike Butler

  • Keep and improve. Right now the article is just a manifesto; I'd say stubify and beg for expansion. --jpgordon{gab} 15:53, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Using the internet for art may be important, but is also a broad and vague idea. This particular movement doesn't seem to have made a significant impact. It's just a manifesto and a name that a few non-notable artists have decided to huddle together under. -- WOT 16:34, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. This smacks of advertising to me. Indrian 16:35, Oct 28, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Advertising. --Improv 18:24, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Seems like advertising—however you feel about Google tests for notability, they remain a fair barometer for topics that exist primary on the Internet. 1900 hits for Webism + art is not impressive. [[User:Aranel|Aranel ("Sarah")]] 19:13, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Weak keep if npoved. siroχo 04:20, Oct 29, 2004 (UTC)
  • Copyvio -- I've listed it as such. No longer a VfD item. SWAdair | Talk 11:07, 31 Oct 2004 (UTC)
