- weak keep. His book is on sale. Mikkalai 23:00, 30 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. He did manage to write one book but he's really only notable as a vigorous self-promoter and this article is pretty much just vanity BS. I noticed that he has also inserted himself in the Existentialism topic as if his book were somehow a major contribution to the subject along with Sartre and Ibsen (I've edited him out of there too). --LeeHunter 01:36, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- A further note on Mr. Szymczyk. I see that one of the three reviewers of his (180 page) book on Amazon, a Mr. "Charles Bukowski" (cough cough) went on to review many other books by other authors, and in each review he found a reason to drop a mention of Michael Szymczyk. It must be a very compelling book indeed.--LeeHunter 02:00, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Delete, his google test brings up ads for his book at Amazon and Barnes/Noble, several wikipedia mirrors, and maybe one other mention. Seems too much like a vanity self-promoter (just had an "editing conflict" message while posting this because LeeHunter was independently saying the same thing), no evidence of review or notability. - Looking at the page history... this is an obvious, abusive self-promotional hoax, bordering on a speedy. Wyss 03:23, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Keep He has been featured in The Kansas City Star, The Chicago Sun-Times, Publishers Weekly and many other publications. He also has a following (I, being, one), who sincerely enjoy his book and will write articles to help it get known so others may also have the pleasure of enjoying it.
