Just a bunch of end-of-year countdown playlists for a Los Angeles radio station. Not encyclopedic. Gwalla | Talk 03:50, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Extremely unencyclopedic. Articles getting deleted in 4..3..2... Wyllium 04:58, 2004 Nov 13 (UTC)
  • Keep. This particular one may be debatable, but there's some similar lists that are indeed encyclopedic, and I'm very unwilling to set a precedent. Ambi 05:34, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. This radio station pretends to be the Billboard countdown every year as their gimmick. It should at least be famous for their extremely funny parody of the Billboard. Rather 05:48, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Note that the user above has only one edit (and it's vandalism). Everyking 06:06, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Surprisingly strong keep, and one I wouldn't give if KROQ wasn't one of the most notable radio stations in North America; for newly-released rock music in English, it is certainly the most notable in the world. I'm on the other side of the continent and I've never heard it for a moment, but its reputation precedes it. Merge & redirect would hideously clutter the station's main article. • agreed, keep on the basis that KROQ is particularly notable clara 06:51, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)
    • I've no doubt of KROQ's notability (Rodney Bingenheimer alone guarantees that). However, I don't believe the individual countdowns are necessary to illustrate it. Ian Pugh 07:12, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
      • Not to illustrate. But they'd be useful and germane to knowledge of 1980 in music, 1981 in music, etc. independently. Samaritan 07:56, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
        • OK, you've convinced me. However, my suggestion would be to merge with those articles. Ian Pugh 09:41, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
          • I think any countdown list greater than 10-20 entries directly in the same article would be too cluttered. Samaritan 23:02, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. KROQ is the 600-pound gorilla of rock trendsetting and their countdowns are snapshots of the rock zeitgeist for that year. mendel 14:02, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Notable, as illustrated above. ElBenevolente 18:20, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. This is both historical and noteworthy and would be a travesty to lose. GRider 19:23, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - David Gerard 21:03, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - historically significant radio station. Useful information. Moncrief 23:52, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)
  • K If it's anything like John Peel's end-of-year countdowns on Radio 1, then really they should stay. Chris 05:15, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep it. [[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 06:42, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Weak keep for KROQ Top 106.7 Countdowns, but Strong delete for each of the yearly countdowns which can already be found following the links on the main coundown page and don't need to be repeated in the Wikipedia. (from an long-time KROQ listener) [[User:GK|gK ¿?]] 12:08, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
