Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Jeff Vogel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Not notable, and/or vanity. First page google hits seem to be opinion or links to a few Mac games he created. TPK 08:44, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC) - Vote change: I obviously didn't realize what this properly was at the time. I change my vote to Redirect/Merge unless someone can supply enough information for it to stand on it's own. TPK 06:30, 3 Aug 2004 (UTC)

- I'm sure I'll be able to supply enough information, but I'm too busy this week (assessments en masse), and I'm not to keen to write something long if there's still the risk of deletion hanging over it. Ambi 07:14, 3 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Strong keep, but send to Cleanup. He's quite a notable independent designer of both Mac and PC games. A google search for "jeff vogel" spiderweb gets nearly 2,000 results. Jeff Vogel create his own article here? We could be so lucky. Ambi 09:18, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Redirect to Spiderweb Software. Jeff Vogel is non-notable aside from the fact that he is Spiderweb Software. --Benc 10:07, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Agreed.-Sean Curtin 10:10, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)- Also agreed. Geogre 13:19, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- He may have founded it, but they're not one and the same - Spiderweb employs a fair few people these days. If this hadn't started as a wretched substub, I doubt we'd be here. Ambi 00:26, 3 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Actually, his personal site, ironycentral.com is fairly popular, with The Story About the Baby being made into a book. -- Cyrius|✎ 17:17, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. He is well-known enough that someone migth reasonably want to know who he is. Secondarily, link to Spiderweb Software -eivind
- Keep. Nobody *is* their company, even if they are the only person in it: notability is notability however acheived. Jgm 02:22, 3 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Comment: Exile is possibly the best computer game I've ever played. Seriously. Isomorphic 01:32, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Had not known of the book, and had forgotten about the website. I now say keep. -Sean Curtin 07:49, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
