The result of the debate was KEEP. —Korath (Talk) 05:03, Mar 2, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Friedrich Kratochwil
College professor. Notability not established. Radiant! 11:36, Feb 23, 2005 (UTC)
- Keep, "marking a landslide in the study of International Relations" sounds plenty notable. Kappa 11:42, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. Seems notable enough.--Centauri 12:06, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. Almost all professors, particularly with publications, are more notable than Pokemon - David Gerard 14:32, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Huh? Ask an average guy in the street about "Kratochwil" and I bet some of them will say "a new kind of pokemon?" :-) Mikkalai 20:47, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- keep nevertheless. Mikkalai 20:47, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. A quick Google search shows he's written several books and 50+ scientific articles. Alarm 17:58, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Keep, all the info about editorial boards could probably be cut though --nixie 01:00, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Keep Seems notable. We should give the benefit of the doubt for articles on serious subjects, so as not to discourage contribitions. Wincoote 23:35, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Keep. Much more noteable than the subjects of many Wikipedia pages. Martg76 19:24, 25 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Reluctantly, I still have to go with delete. No evidence has yet been presented that he is more than an "average professor". How that compares with Pokemon characters is, unfortunately, irrelevant. Mere publications are insufficient to define notability for professors. They all publish and most have no impact. I'm willing to change my vote is someone can find evidence that his work has been influential on the works of others. I could find no such evidence. Rossami (talk) 05:47, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)
