[edit] Cause célèbre
Delete. A consensus of learned individuals has determined that cause célèbre is a meaningless concept, as well as being suspiciously foreign. The process has spoken! All hail the process! Mirror Vax 29 June 2005 00:11 (UTC)
- Speedy keep. Obvious bad faith nomination. You didn't like a consensus on the deletion of a category so your solution was to edit war and then disrupt Wikipedia to prove a point. Shame on you. Postdlf 29 June 2005 00:14 (UTC)

- Lies. I never engaged in an "edit war" as Postdlf claims. Let's discuss the merits, if you can. Or can you talk about nothing but your precious process? Mirror Vax 29 June 2005 00:32 (UTC)
- All accusations aside, the article in fact consists of a dicdef and a long list of people for which the inclusion criterion isn't clear. As the article stands now, I'd vote to remove the list and transwiki the dicdef to wiktionary. Radiant_>|< June 29, 2005 07:25 (UTC)
- The reason for the list is that it's the only way of preserving what used to be the contents of Category:Causes célèbres
from the rampages of the ignorant. The vindictiveness of some editors never ceases to astonish me.David | Talk 29 June 2005 08:08 (UTC)
- "People make the argument that the category is ill-defined. The distinction between a normal cause and a Cause Célèbres may be perfectly clear to you, but there exists no consensual non-ambiguous definition thereof. Keep deleted. Radiant_>|< 21:55, Jun 18, 2005 (UTC)" - Radiant, demonstrating that he does not know what "cause celebre" means and can't be bothered to learn before confidently asserting his opinion. - Oh, nuts, are we discussing the category again? I thought this was for the article. --Kbdank71 29 June 2005 20:56 (UTC)

- Speedy keep. Not a dicdef, something more. David | Talk 29 June 2005 08:05 (UTC)
- Delete or transwiki to wiktionary. --Kbdank71 29 June 2005 18:49 (UTC)
