The Voss L-AR (Light Assault Rifle) is an unlock for the assault class in battlefield 2142. The Rockets or Herzog AR-Shotgun unlocks can be mounted on to create 2 other styles for the weapon.

Many players feel that the Voss is way too powerful and will never make you a good player^[1]. It has very little recoil and a quick rate of fire. There are 40 bullets per magazine with a total of 5 mags total.

"Ergonomically designed with a fibre-reinforced polymer shell, the Voss L-AR (Light Assault Rifle) is a close cousin of the Krylov FA-37, sacrificing incapacitation capabilities for increased portability and firing longevity. Used primarily in supportive, high movement scenarios, the Voss L-AR uses lower calibre ammunition allowing for higher volume cartridges, enabling prolonged suppressive assault."^[2]

The Voss is a good overall gun though. With the scope it can semi snipe. The Cool thing is that you can add on a mini rocket launcher or shotgun to the bottom which greatly improves the weapon and your points.
