The Vorchan class medium warship is a powerful Centauri warship in the fictional universe of Babylon 5. The most recent warship designed by the Centauri Republic, the Vorchan is extremely fast and maneuverable, and can outfly almost any other warship in its class. The Vorchan is capable of creating its own hyperspace jumppoints, and it is capable of flying in a planetary atmosphere. Its primary weapons are two powerful ion cannon, which are capable of destroying larger warships from other races (such as the Narn G'Quan-Class cruiser) in just a few hits. Even the extremely advanced White Star vessels are vulnerable to the Vorchan's ion cannon fire. However, the Vorchan does have some weaknesses. Its relatively small size and thin armor makes it highly vulnerable to enemy fire, and it does not carry fighters for protection, which leaves it vulnerable to enemy warships which do have fighters. To compensate for this weakness, Vorchan-class cruisers often travel together in small "packs", which allows them to protect one another in battle.
