The Volkswagen Lavida is an upcoming A-segment car to be released by Volkswagen Group China for the Chinese market.[1]

The Lavida, to be manufacturered by Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive, will be based on Volkswagen Group PQ34 platform and components which is shared with the Golf Mk4.

The new sedan developed by Shanghai Volkswagen will debut at Auto China 2008 in Beijing, with two engine options a 1.6L and a 2.0L.
