Volker Pispers

Volker Pispers (born January 18, 1958 in Rheydt, Germany) is a German cabaret artist, who is well known for his drastic and sometimes sarcastic comments of current events, especially about the politics of the United States during the Iraq war. He currently lives in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel.
After his Abitur, Pispers moved to Bonn and later Münster where he studied english studies, theology and pedagogy.
In 1990 he became an ensemble member and then later artistic director of the Kom(m)ödchen in Düsseldorf.
Since 2002 he is on tour with his program "...bis neulich" which he updates frequently.
