Volkan Turgut (born December 16, 1986 in Rochester, NY) currently resides in New York City advancing his degree in Physics and Philosophy.

On 3 May 2008, Volkan took part in the 2nd annual charity game at Belson Stadium, playing with the Greek Cultural Society.
He had a short spell with Vestel Manisaspor in the summer of 2007 before being involved with an injury. He appeared in a fixture against Karabaĝ.[1]
Did not play at St. John's University (New York City). Ineligible to play Division I and II under NCAA Bylaw 12 regarding amateurism.[2]
During his senior year, Bishop Kearney High School defeated #1 ranked Bath-Haverling on penalty kicks in the NYS Section 5 finals.[3]
Trained with Denizlispor in Bolu when he was 17.

His younger brother, Bora Turgut, is a goalkeeper at the Aquinas Institute.
His father, Ahmet Turgut, was a professional goalkeeper for Altinordu during the 1970's.
