[edit] Adding your organization
Adding information about your own organization is generally prohibited on Wikipedia because that constitutes conflict of interest and "spamming" (well that's a disgusting term to use). More details can be found on Wikipedia:Notability. --Deryck C. 06:47, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re:may you please adopt me?
I would like to build up a wiki page for our association. I would like to have a expert, like you, help me to do that. thanks volterra
- Yes, I'm fine to adopt you. Do you have any questions about page building, etc at the moment?
- Just echoing what was said above me, generally on Wikipedia you don't create pages about your own association- you have to make sure the association is notable for an article on Wikipedia, and then, if it is, you really have to make sure that you write it in an unbiased way- a neutral description. I can help you do that if you want :).
- Cheers, looking forward to hearing from you- CattleGirl talk | sign! 10:07, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] thanks
Hi, CattleGirl
Thanks for adopting me. I am very happy that you are able to offer your help to me. I am going to work on my website. I will upload some informationa and ask you for your suggestions. Is that the way we work together?
I am sorry that I am really not familiar how the wiki works. I probably have more question to bug you in the future.
Thanks volterra
- Hi, Volterra, you're welcome.
- How would you like the adoption to work? Generally, you edit the encyclopedia and ask me any questions you may have, and perhaps ask for my suggestions, and I'll in turn offer tips.
- Feel free to bug me with any questions you might have! :) Cheers- CattleGirl talk | sign! 03:00, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
