From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trangressions: Volume Two contains short stories by two modern writers: Stephen King and John Farris and was edited by Ed McBain.Image:51S2Y7D0WTL AA240 .jpg

Written by an author some consider a modern master of horror fiction, King's "The Things they Left Behind" is the story of a man who didn't go to work on 9/11 and goes to work after the event, finding things his coworkers left behind. Farris's "The Ransome Women" is a thriller that questions the role that beauty plays in the life of a "celebrity". It features a desperate, starving woman who wants to become a model, and gets the opportunity when her idol gives her a lucrative modeling contract. But the story asks the question "How long before she regrets it?"
