Since WikiProject Volcanoes has now been active for over a month, it seemed to be the right time to go ahead and create a portal about volcanoes and volcanology. This is just version 1.0 today, and content will surely be expanded in the future, along with hopefully regular updates to the selected article, picture, and igneous rock.
