"voidpulp" is a word created by Mark L. Stinson of Kansas City, Missouri in 1985 as the name of his fledging self-publishing ventures. Since that time "Void Pulp Comics," "Void Pulp Press," or "Void Pulp Publishing" have all been used as self-publishing imprints by Mark Stinson.

The word "voidpulp" itself is a combination of the word "void," meaning nothingness...and denoting a certain hopelessness or lack of meaning, and the word "pulp," in reference to paperpulp and the "Pulp" novels and movies full of action and all things purient and interesting to the masses.

COMICS - Besides early crude self-publishing efforts, Void Pulp Comics has published Void Pulp #1 (print run of 500 copies in 1995), Void Pulp #2 (500 copies in 2002), Show and Tell Anthology #1 (two print runs totalling 750 210-page books in 2003), CCN 24-Hour Comic Anthology (200 110-page books in 2003), Show and Tell #2 (print run of 500 300-page books in 2003), Show and Tell #3 (print run of 400 120-page books in 2004), and Jack Skull #1 (500 32-page books in 2005). Many of these comics can be read on-line at the Void Pulp Comic Archive. [1]

HORROR - From 1995 through 2000, Void Pulp Press published and distributed thousands of self-published horror stories, in chap-book format. These stories included Autumn Chill, That Which is Hidden, Quiet Whisperings, and Savory Flesh...all later collected in a large chapbook entitled "Stygian Tales." The stories were of the weird fiction genre, and were inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. These stories can also be read on-line at the Void Pulp Comic Archive. [2]

"voidpulp" continues to be a username and online identity used by Mark L. Stinson. For further information contact Mark through his Void Pulp blog. [3]
