[edit] Edits made to article Setsuna F. Seiei
I must speak with you about your recent edits to the Setsuna article. I do not wish to start a flame war with you about whether or not it is Kurdish republic, therefore I ask you kindly if you could provide perhaps some scans or a copy of this World Guide Book and we'll iron out this situation. Reply on my user talk page.Zero no Kamen (talk) 14:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Re: Thanks for the scan. I would agree, it is a mistranslation in Romaji. Firstly it is quite literal, usually, with a few exceptions, when the symbol 'no' is used in a phrase it contracts in English, my user name in English means Zero's Mask. Secondly, I'm sure the translations are based on phoenetics rather than offical sources, the Manga is clear about the translation of Kurdish Republic. But as I said, Bandai US have yet to release the English product, so what is offical is unknown. Other translations from the extract you scanned are fine because they're real nations, the Kurdish Republic doesn't exist, it's Kurdistan. Also, Phoentically 'I' is meant to sound like 'E'. If it were Ebrahim, the 'E' would sound like 'ey'. Thirdly, most Asian language words can have many translations, Beijing and Peking for example. But thanks again.Zero no Kamen (talk) 14:24, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Gundam 00 OST 01.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Gundam 00 OST 01.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.
