Vladimir Spiridonovich Gigauri was a professor and academician He was born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1934. He died in 2006.
He was a renowned Georgian-born soviet scientist. He invented over 200 products in the fields of Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Army, and Space. Gigauri was best known for his needle-free Jet injector, and a breathing apparatus used in space. He also did major works on the Soviet/Russian artificial heart.
