Vladimir Djambazov

Vladimir Djambazov (born Sevlievo, Bulgaria, 28 October 1954) is a Bulgarian composer of Electro-acoustic and Acousmatic music. He studied at the Music academy in Sofia he won a DAAD scholarship and graduated from the Folkwang Academy in Essen, Germany, having studied electronic music composition under Dirk Reith (ICEM) and horn under Hermann Baumann..

Vladimir participated in many festivals as the Synthese (France), Elektronischer Fühling and Wien Modern (Austria), November Music (Germany/Belgium/Netherlands), BIMESP (Brazil), Musica Scienza (Italy), FEMF (U.S.A), the ISCM World New Music Days (2002/Hong Kong, 2003/Slovenia),and the SICMF (Korea). His music was aired or performed by many European and Asian broadcast companies.

In 2005 he was supported by the Berliner artistic program of DAAD for a residence in Berlin.

Vladimir Djambazov has taught on Audio design and Stage music at the Sofia University.
