Vladimir Copic

Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Copic (Vladimir Ćopić - Senjko) (born 1891 in Senj - killed 1939. somewhere in Russia) was the commander of the XV International Brigade during the Spanish Civil War from 1937 to mid-1938. He was Croatian. Like General "Gal", he had been conscripted in the Austro-Hungarian army during the Great War, and subsequently captured by the Russians. [1].
His brother, Milan Copic (Milan Ćopić), ran the International Brigades prison at Camp Lucász.
