Vladimir Bystrov (Russian: Владимир Витальeвич Быстров) born January 31, 1984 in Luga, Leningrad Oblast) is a Russian football right winger who currently plays for Spartak Moscow and Russia. Before that, he played for Zenit Saint Petersburg. He is renowned for his electrifying pace being one of the fastest players in Europe (interesting that his last name translates to "fast" in English). Bystrov is the most fouled upon player in the Russian Premier League largely due to how hard he is to stop.[1]

[edit] Euro 2008
Bystrov was included in Guus Hiddink's Euro 2008 squad. He was a substitute in Russia's opening match, the 4-1 defeat to Spain, coming on for Dmitri Sychev in the 46th minute. Bizarrely he was resubstituted again in the 71st minute, being replaced by Roman Adamov.
