[edit] Redirect
I corrected the sentence:
"Viz is an adbverb meaning "namely"."
to include the period, also avoiding the redirect from Viz to Viz.:
"Viz. is an adbverb meaning "namely"."
User:Sesshomaru reverted this change, commenting: "A redirect is preferred here per WP:MOS-DAB. See Goku (disambiguation) as a precedent." I don't see the connection between a redirect and a disambiguation and I don't find anything in WP:MOS-DAB. Why exactly would a link to a redirect be preferred over a direct link? --EnOreg (talk) 08:43, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- WP:MOS-DAB#Linking to a primary topic suggests using the dab term, which in this case is "Viz" not "Viz.". About redirects, you may want to bring this up with User:JHunterJ, as I've been following his method of placing the primary link regardless of it being a redirect or not (think he made similar edits to DMZ (disambiguation) also). - And you might want to have a gander at Boo (disambiguation). Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 21:42, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I think I now get your point. It's probably not worth starting a policy discussion over this. Thanks, --EnOreg (talk) 08:20, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
