Vixtrola is the joint musical venture of vocalist Jamie Blake and instrumentalist Paul Andrews. Its sound is electronic and rock.

Vixtrola's first release was the song "Gunboat" in 2003, which played at the end of the horror film Darkness Falls, as well as a number of other television shows. This is where they gained some recognition. There have been no authorized releases of vixtrola since then. Geffen Records shelved their debut album End:User, which was produced by Ric Ocasek (formerly of The Cars) and Danny Lohner (formerly of Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle). However, the project has not died. The band has tried to unsuccessfully buy back the masters from the record company in order to distribute it themselves. In the past, they have also unsuccessfully tried to make CDs available through their website. In 2007, the band disclosed that people would be able to purchase tracks from End:User directly through their MySpace page. The names of the songs have been changed as well. GunBoat has been changed to Waiting and Never Again has been changed to Cry, among the others songs as well.
