Vitapup was a rock band from New York City consisting of guitarist Greg Griffith, drummer Melissa York, and bassist/vocalist Ray "Raphael" Heatley. The band was broadly categorized as punk rock but featured elements of jazz, hip hop and spoken word.
The band released one album, "An Hour With Vitapup", in 1996.
York later appeared in Team Dresch and The Butchies. Griffith produced or engineered a number of independent releases including several by The Butchies. Heatley and his wife, Dana Diaz-Tutaan later formed the alternative hip-hop/electro group Apsci.
