Visionaire (software)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Visionaire - the adventure-creation-system" is a software package to create graphical adventure games, similar in style to classic games like Monkey-Island.

The program is intended for fans of the genre who want to create their own games but don't have much experience with a programming language. These games are also called fan-adventures.

Visionaire is a universal engine allowing for many different kinds of adventures to be created. This applies particularly to the interface and the design of the story and events in the game.

There is no full scripting programming language but a fixed catalog of combinable "actions" thereby offering flexibility without demanding programming skills from the user.
