[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Aranmula.JPG

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Aranmula.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 16:38, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Aranmula.JPG

I have re-added the template, as the situation is not changed. Can you please add a license and a description to the image? It would be a pity to lose a nice photo. Thank you. Deadstar 11:40, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Image:Aranmula.JPG. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.StephenBuxton 13:55, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from repeatedly undoing other people's edits, as you are doing in Image:Aranmula.JPG. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. The three-revert rule (3RR) prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, please discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. StephenBuxton 08:47, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:The Sex Pistols MEN.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:The Sex Pistols MEN.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot (talk) 12:09, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
