Virtualtourist (VT) is a free, travel-oriented community website featuring user-contributed travel guides for locations worldwide. [1]The site has over one million registered members. It offers some 1.5 million travel reviews and 3 million photos on over 55,000 destinations.[2] The website is operated by Virtualtourist, Inc., Westlake Village, California. Members of Virtualtourist write tips about places they have visited or lived in, and are encouraged to rate the tips of fellow VTers on a scale of 1-5 for honesty, accuracy, writing style and helpfulness.
