Virtools is a software developer and vendor, created in 1993 and owned by Dassault Systèmes since July 2005.

Virtools offers 3D software and related services, targeted at system integrators, game studios and corporate end-users.
The Virtools development platform has been widely used in the video game market (prototyping and rapid development), as well as for other highly interactive 3D experiences, in web marketing, virtual product maintenance.
They have also published a free consumer product called the "Virtools 3D Life Player" for web browsers. [1]
