Virgin is a Polish pop rock band - created in 2000, suspended in 2007. Its lead singer was Dorota Rabczewska.

[edit] Virgin (2000-2004)

First album sold in edition over 13.000 copies entitled Virgin. Texts wrote on disc – Doda, Andrzej Mogielnicki, Anja Orthodox and Asia Prykowska. After edition of debutant disc appointed for Fryderyk in category New Face Music 2002, group intensively gave a concert, meanwhile, working upon material on second disc. Disc showed rock part of group and aspiration musical. Album was package 16 sing. Besides, it included Madonna cover Material Girl. Doda promoting first album in reality show Polsat " Bar ".

[edit] Bimbo (2004-2005)

In May 2004 has gone out second album titled Bimbo, that signifies in american slang “prostitution”. Dorota has transmitted this title towards caution " All silly people, who think her it too whore ". On new plate was eleven her composition. Words for two songs " Bar " and " Ulica " wrote Anja Orthodox. Plate promoted work " Dżaga ", " Kolejny raz " and "Nie zawiedź mnie". On plate hospitable appear in work" Nie Oceniać Jej " Arkadiusz “Arekcore” Stępień guitarist and vocalist of group Ametria.

For "Dżaga" emerged 2 version video clip (one of them includes uncensored photos ). One of main role has played Radosław Majdan goalkeeper of club Wisła Kraków. Music on Bimbo was continuation of stream, that group has appointed on first album . It melodious rock still, it does not scant in which original sharp equal riff, as well as quiet, romantic ballads.

In 2004 year has parted with group Virgin bass of Krzysztof Najman, (former husband Anji Orthodox) and drummer Piotr " Posejdon " Pawłowski. In result of several month search and interrogation, place of Krzysztof Najmana has occupied bass Łukasz Damm from Wrocław, and Peter Pawłowski has substituted on percussion Pitr Matsiak from Radom.

[edit] Ficca (2005-2007)

Material on new plate has emerged already with new musicians. Round has received title Ficca (from italian language word meaning “sheath” ) and it has appeared 24 October 2005. For plate enclosed is unpublished session of photo musician.

First single from this album was " Znak Pokoju ", song prefer due to which on 42. Sopot International Song Festival in 2005 group won Srebrny Słowik. Rewarded song wades is homage for Pope John Paul II. Group has quitted rock tones at this plate in favor of melodious, pop ballad. Next singiel from this plate was work" 2 Bajki ", which has carried progress big progess and it was hosted long on lists of hits. Next singiel was work " Szansa " composed with thought about Festival in Opole.

Group has received Superjedynka on National Festival of Polish Song in Opole 2006 in category fairest plate POP and has presented new work in concert of premiere " Szansa ", which won in vote of audience.

1 January 2007 on official statement of group has appeared part from Tomasz Lubert, who result , that he finishes activity of artistic group Virgin. Dorota Rabczewska decide continue career as soloist.
