User talk:Virgin United

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What Gregory Maxwell said about me is true. I am in fact a Wikipedian, and I have no affiliation whatever with Virgin Unite.

Danny posted a message about "Virgin United". Someone else posted that they couldn't figure out who "Virgin United" was. Then a third person posted that "Virgin United is Virgin's charitable division." I decided to node what I didn't know: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Virgin_United&oldid=96732340

Of course, when I hit the button to create the article, I got a message which told me to create an account first. So that's what I did. Why use the username "Virgin United"? I just picked the same username as the title. Random enough.

Eventually I figured out that "Virgin United" is actually "Virgin Unite", and created another new article, Virgin Unite: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Virgin_Unite&oldid=96734143

I apologize for any distress I caused anyone. - a89b588c

Thanks for the explanation. You did seem to cause a bit of stir with some people who thought you were the actual organization, but no harm was done. I hope that you'll come back and contribute under a new account. - BanyanTree 14:48, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
