Is VIRGO an acronym or do they just capitalize it for fun? If it's an acronym, what does it stand for? —Keenan Pepper 04:28, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

It is not an acronym, it is supposed to be named after the Virgo cluster, which should hopefully fall into range for detection of GWs after future upgrades. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.65.235.176 (talk) 20:34, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
