I don't understand why the actual text isn't included in the article. In fact, unless I overlooked it, not even a link to the actual text given. (An image of the bill as proposed to the VA Gen. Assembly in 1777 can be found here: http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/jefferson/images/vc66.jpg and of the Act as passed in 1786 can be found here: http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/religion/f0510s.jpg )

Is there a better source for the summary, which is unclear? Also, Madison's name lacks a link and Jefferson is cited as the statute's author in the illustration caption. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.71.246.219 (talk) 21:50, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
