Controversial status

While the record album itself already has a controversial status surrounding the label, the hosting of the image of the label seems to be stirring controversy as to whether it's right for Wikipedia to host it, isn't it true? Possibly what might be less offensive is if you changed the album cover so she is wearing a 1-piece swimsuit or possible some kind of nun's habit, that way it won't damage people's minds. Damage people's minds? It's not a mindfuck, it's not hypnosis, it's not brainwashing, it's an album cover (which has been censored). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.138.243.215 (talk) 20:32, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Is it supposed to have that (conveniently placed) broken glass effect, or was that added by the uploading user? If so, then an undamaged cover picture should be uploaded. --Ye Olde Luke (talk) 22:55, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

It is supposed to be like that. Garion96 (talk) 23:15, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

WP:NOTCENSORED

This seems like a pretty clear case of "Wikipedia is not censored" to me. The cover may be controversial. The cover may offend you. The cover is clearly notable. In no way should it be deleted. --mordicai. (talk) 18:39, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Well you can vote at the ifd if you haven't already, people misunderstand and misquote WP:Censor all the time. Thanks, SqueakBox 18:56, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
I did weigh in over there, but also thought it relevant to the discussion here. That said, I think this is a pretty clear example of WP:NOTCENSORED but I appreciate that Wikipedia's policies exist to be considered by all. --mordicai. (talk) 19:43, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Just because others hold a different opinion on the matter does not mean that they "misunderstand and misquote" relevant policies. Please show a bit more respect for those who hold opposing points of view. Tarc (talk) 19:14, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
If I make a general comment you really should not take it personally as if this were the only place I edit on this project. I think you will find I am showing great respect for those who oppose my take on this particular situation. Thanks, SqueakBox 19:17, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Making comments like "people misunderstand and misquote WP:Censor all the time" shows that you really aren't. Tarc (talk) 19:35, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Reverting to a larger image

Some of the older pictures have a larger dimension, for better visibility, quality and what have you, I'm reverting it to a larger one —Preceding unsigned comment added by KitsuneDragonRA (talkcontribs)

It has already been reverted back by others I believe, but just so there's a response here; no, please don't do this again. I don't know if the WP:FAIRUSE guidelines ever specified exact resolutions or sizes, but it is a general rule of thumb that these should be more more than 300x300, and of the lowest quality possible while still retaining visual clarity.
