[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of media using the Wilhelm scream

In answer to your question at user talk:Maxim, it was deleted because there were a large number of comments stating that the page went against WP:NOT#DIR. Also, the fact that several users who commented for keeping were new accounts (Possibly SPAs) may have influenced Maxim's decision. However, upon reading 23skidoo's comments, I get the feeling that it may have indeed been notworthy. I suggest that if you aren't happy with Maxim's closure or reading of consensus, you raise the issue at deletion review. Good luck, Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 04:40, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Actually I was not talking to you, I know the reason he gave for deleting, but it does not reflect reality. So I was asking for his thought process or how he weighed in favor of deleting with such a gridlocked no consensus discussion. And I think you meant they were possibly sock puppets not span tags. [edit] Re: Chancellorship

Don't worry about it. If you can find suitable sources, (or someone else finds them), I can always recreate the article just as it was. David Fuchs (talk) 17:41, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mary's Lake Road

Actually I don't particularly care, either — all I did was correct the title and categorize it. I thought it was pretty much prod material at the time, but didn't feel sufficiently strongly about that to bother personally. Bearcat 02:41, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: WTF?

First of all, the Px4 subcompact is not a "completely different gun", it's just a small version of the base Px4, which means that it should be in the same article. Technically, the Glock models should be merged, but that would result in a 100kb long article. And finally, I'll go back and add the references to the Px4 article. — DanMP5 04:24, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

I guess the policy in Q was undergoing some change, I replied on the user page. I also integrated the page I created into the PX$ article. Viperix (talk) 01:41, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] _NOEDITSECTION_

Please don't put __NOEDITSECTION__ into an article (like Wilhelm scream); it's far too important that people be able to edit just a single section. If you're wanting to prevent people from conflicting with you while you overhaul an article, use {{inuse}} instead. EVula // talk // // 23:17, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

I put that there because it A) cuts down on vandalism which this article is prone to. B) makes the article look better. and C) is a part of wiki. Is there a policy I should be aware of? I don't believe its important for people to be able to edit peticular sections, just makes it easier for them to vandalize the page. It is just as easy to hit the edit button on top of the page and scroll to the section your trying to edit. Viperix (talk) 23:32, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
