[edit] Early life and career
Violeta started her career being a dancer, and at the age of 17 began to sing in restaurants. Throughout her life she also studied for 6 years and graduated at the "Balio Dvariono" music school. At 18, when she finished school, she received an offer to work in the United Arab Emirates. She accepted, because at that time singers in Lithuania didin't have very good wages, whereas in the UAE the hotels offered to pay good money and also take full care of you. After a while when she returned to Lithuania, she was offered to sing with the group "Žvaigždių Kvartetai" and did so until she realised that she was much better off singing solo. In addition, she was also offered to sing in some concerts. However, when she was accepted to be the new co-host of the comedy show "Orbita" alongside Algis Ramanauskas - Greitai,it gave her career a big boost meaning she was becoming more and more popular amongst the Lithuanian public, therefore many more people wanted her to participate in concerts etc...
When the comedy show had finished, Violeta received another two big offers. Firstly, waking up the morning listeners of the radiostation "M-1" and secondly to be the co-host of the TV show "Penktadienio muzikos šou" (Friday Music Show) alongside Edmundas Kucinskas. In 2004, she released her first album "Ramunę baltąją" (Daisy the White, selling over 40,000 copies which is double platinum in Lithuania). In 2006, Violeta released her second album "Su Meile" (With Love, somewhat more adult oriented pop sound)
In 2007, Violeta met someone called Vilius Tarasovas, who on August 31 2007, she married. In addition, after their marriage, the music show "Penktadienio muzikos šou" (Friday Music Show) came to and end, therefore a new music show was created "Padainuokim!" (Let's Sing!) which she is currently hosting alongside her husband Vilius Tarasovas.
