[edit] History

Shay Raviv and Jonathan Dagan began producing music together as Violet Vision in 2001 with the release of their debut album, First Sign of Communication. The album was met with critical acclaim and saw the duo appearing on many compilations under various labels, as well as performing at festivals and clubs worldwide.

In 2003 the duo released their second album, Unfold. The album broke off from the largely psytrance-based sound of their first album, venturing into more various sonic territory. Several vocalists collaborated on the album, including Michele Adamson.

After the release of Unfold, Dagan shifted his focus to his solo side project, J.Viewz. In 2006, Raviv moved to Los Angeles, joining hard rock band Caveman as keyboardist and programmer. He continued producing music as Violet Vision in Hollywood, expanding Violet Vision through collaborations with other artists as well as venturing into film and video game scoring and production.

The duo is set to release their third album, titled Heaven Underground, in 2008.
