Violet Astor, Lady Astor of Hever (née Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound) DStJ (28 May 1889–3 January 1965) was the daughter of the 4th Earl of Minto and the wife of the 1st Baron Astor of Hever
Her first marriage was to Lord Charles Petty-FitzMaurice, the youngest son of the 5th Marquess of Lansdowne, on 20 January 1909. They had two children:
- Lady Mary Margaret Elizabeth Petty-FitzMaurice (1910–2003)
- George John Charles Mercer Nairne Petty-FitzMaurice, 8th Marquess of Lansdowne (1912–1999)
Her first marriage only lasted just over 6½ years and after Lord Charles' death in 1914, she married John Jacob Astor, the youngest son of William Waldorf Astor (the future Viscount Astor) on 28 August 1916. They had three children:
- Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever (1918–1984)
- Lt.-Col. Hon. Hugh Waldorf Astor (1920–1999)
- Hon. John Astor (1923–1987)
