Vintl (German) or Vandoies (Italian) is a comune (municipality) in Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 100 km northeast of Trento and about 45 km northeast of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,181 and an area of 110.6 km².[1]
The municipality of Vintl contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Vandoies di Sotto (Niedervintl), Vandioes di Sopra (Obervintl), Vallarga (Weitental), and Fundres (Pfunders).
Vintl borders the following municipalities: Kiens, Mühlbach, Rodeneck, Mühlwald, Terenten, and Pfitsch.
