Vinod Thomas

Vinod Thomas is World Bank Director-General Evaluation heading the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG). Between 2001-2005, he was Country Director for the World Bank's operations in Brazil, one of the Bank's largest portfolios of development lending, policy advice, and analytical work, with an annual lending program of $1.5-$2 billion. Earlier he was Vice President of the World Bank Institute (WBI), the training arm of the World Bank, and Chief Economist for the World Bank in East Asia and Pacific region.
