[edit] Character Information
Vinnie first appeared in 1997, as a rich kid who ran around town causing trouble. In 1998, Vinnie began dating Justine Welles and they became semi-serious for a while. Vinnie and Justine eventually broke up.
Vinnie's next love interest came in the form of Sally Fletcher who later moved in with him and Jesse McGregor. Vinnie and Sally were serious for about a year until she later broke up with him due to his immaturity.
In Mid-2000, Vinnie later became involved with Leah Poulos, who he had picked up as a hitch-hiker. Leah had fled her own wedding.
In 2001, Vinnie and Leah were married in a Greek Orthodox ceremony. Leah later became pregnant. Things seemed rosy for the young couple.
Later that year, Ralph, Vinnie's father made contact with him and told him he was dying and urged him to go into business with him.
On the day of the birth of his son, VJ, Vinnie was arrested on suspicion of fraud and later appeared in court. Ralph had conned him and fled.
Vinnie was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment and told Leah not to visit him anymore.
Jesse, who had fled town two years earlier for a car crime and had given himself up, had transferred to the same prison as Vinnie and was due for parole. Vinnie had asked Jesse to look after Leah and VJ.
In 2002, Vinnie's death in a prison fire was reported, leaving everyone devastated.
In 2004, Detective Peter Baker revealed that Vinnie was alive and in witness protection.
The following year, Vinnie, under the guise of a teddy bear, appeared at VJ's birthday party and left a goodbye message for VJ and Leah to get on with their lives. Soon enough, Vinnie passed on.
