Vineyard International Publishing

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vineyard International Publishing (VIP) is a publisher of Christian books. The company arose from discussions between Bob Fulton, John Wimber and Derek Morphew. The concept of two operations working in synergy towards very similar goals was Morphew's, but was submitted to leadership, plus the board, over a period of about two years, during which a concept document emerged into a policy document for both operations.

VIP works in synergy with Vineyard Bible Institute (VBI). Both bodies have the same international board and have the same personnel, although VIP has additional personnel. They operate separately as legal and financial institutions. VBI is legally non-profit. VIP is a Close Corporation and cannot be legally non-profit because it sells commodities. However, it is non-profit in its policy, in the sense that any profits, after salaries have been paid, will be used for VBI or other Vineyard mission activities. The financial statements of both operations are submitted annually to the board.

[edit] Goals

  • To help pastors in Vineyard and "friends of the Vineyard" churches to have their works published. This applies in particular to new authors.
  • To distribute Vineyard publications through local churches. Our aim is to assist local church book tables and bookstores to carry works written by the authors we have published.
  • To influence the reading public through books that reflect kingdom theology and Vineyard values.
  • To provide books at affordable prices.
