Vinegar Joe was a British R&B band in the early 1970s. The core members were lead singers Elkie Brooks and Robert Palmer, Steve York bass, and Pete Gage, guitar. Other members included Mike Deacon, Dave Thompson , John Hawken & Tim Hinkley keyboards, Jim Mullen guitar, Pete Gavin, John Woods & Keef Hartley, drums. They released three records.
The band broke up in 1974.
