[edit] Career

At age eighteen he left Switzerland for France. Before studying acting, he considered a career as an artist. But eventually commenced acting studies in Geneva, followed by the Paris Conservatoire, and completed his training at L'École des Amandiers in Nanterre.

He plays the equivalent role of Vincent D'Onofrio's Detective Robert "Bobby" Goren in a French remake of Law & Order: Criminal Intent on TF1. Paris Enquêtes Criminelles (Paris Criminal Section) stars Pérez as Lieutenant Vincent Revel. His partner is Lieutenant Claire Savigny, played by Sandrine Rigaux, and their boss is Commissaire Bonnefoy played by Jacques Pater. The show has become one of the biggest hits on TF1 and a crossover was planned for April 2007, but has yet to happen.
