User talk:Vinmax
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Vinmax is a writer of technical engineering articles.
Areas of specialty include the application of tanks, liquid and bulk material solids storage containers. The consideration of the applicability of both physics and chemistry, in the establishment of specifications, will assure functional applications. We will suggest examples of resources and organizations with areas of expertise that will support logically the conclusions I will propose. My goal is to reduce the time required to re-invent the readers' "wheel".
Safety will always be the paramount concern as we propose methods to reach a conclusion of suitable storage containers.
This is a resource and not an end-source of information.

[edit] Water tanks
Hi there, I left you a message on Talk:Water tank, but you probably didn't see it. I was inviting you to take a look at the article cistern, which seems to be a parallel article on the identical subject! I'm not involved in either, but can I suggest you take a look and discuss with those folks whether a) there should indeed be two articles, b) what they should each cover if so, and c) what the merge title should be if not. Good work on Water tank, by the way - whatever the final title! JackyR | Talk 21:10, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please use edit summaries
Hello. Please be courteous to other editors and use edit summaries when updating articles. The Mathbot tool shows your usage of edit summaries to be low:
- Edit summary usage for Vinmax: 19% for major edits and 41% for minor edits. Based on the last 32 major and 27 minor edits in the article namespace.
Using edit summaries helps other editors quickly understand your edits, which is especially useful when you make changes to articles that are on others' watchlists. Thanks and happy editing! --Kralizec! (talk) 19:00, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Blocking
Vinmax - your username and userpage, which uses "we", as well as your contributions, leads me to believe that you are a corporate account connected with http://www.vinmax.co.nz/ . We don't allow corporate or group accounts. If the main editor of this account would like to create a new account and edit as a private person, you are welcome to do so; however, editing for a company is a clear violation of Neutral point of view policy. [edit] Why I reverted Water Tank.
Your newest revision looked as if you were blanking information, so I restored the blanked content.. I wasn't the only one that thought that was the case.. --Bluesquareapple 15:22, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] OK
Ok, you should be able to edit now. No hard feelings, I hope. Mak (talk) 03:34, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- I got your email, Vinmax, but the matter already appears to have been resolved. -Will Beback 00:02, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rainwater tank
I've reverted your changes to rainwater tank. See the talk page for details. You are welcome to continue editing the article, but please try to keep the format consistent with Wikipedia's usual style, and no not tell the reader what he or she "should" or "must" do, as this is an encyclopedia, not a how-to guide. Any outstanding claims should be referenced too. (Sorry I was too lazy to cherry pick the good content from your changes) —Pengo 03:03, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Please add references (to impartial sources) if you plan to contradict the information in the article. The existing information is generally from the sources listed at the end of the article. —Pengo 23:33, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Picture
Some folks have raised a complaint about the quality of the water tank picture I uploaded for you a while ago. The orginal is here,[1], and the discussion is here, [2]. If you could take a clearer picture (or maybe more than one) to replace it that would be very helpful. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 02:36, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- That image is gone now. If you can find a new one that's great, but if not there are a few already on this site. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 00:22, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Biodiesel
Thanks for assisting with the Biodiesel page. The edits you made to Biodiesel were reverted as they contained technical errors and omitted important information. FYI, some of the errors are common misconceptions that are discussed on the Talk page or Archive; if you'd like further clarification, I'd be happy to provide it. The Biodiesel main is currently under renovation by another editor; the introduction is one of the items being worked on (again, see the Talk page). If you'd like to help out with the page, please coordinate your efforts with the other editors (Talk page).--E8 (talk) 04:24, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
You added that distribution for Biodiesel is possible using existing infrastructure. I've read otherwise in numerous industry articles include this one from Biodiesel Magazine, where concerns over contamination of other fuels was cited as a concern: “There isn’t enough empirical data and testing equipment,” says Nazzaro, referring to a problem called “trail back,” where trace amounts of residual biodiesel may stay in the pipeline and end up in future fuels. “[The biodiesel] could be extremely low, but until more work is done there is no tolerance for any measurable level of biodiesel in jet aviation fuel.” Please take more care in citing sources and research; all unsupported material will be reverted, as there have been numerous erroneous, poorly-research, and biased additions to the page (Let me emphasize, I'm not referring to your contributions) and the unsourced material is due to be cleaned out.--E8 (talk) 03:43, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
