[edit] WikiProject Philosophy
- German Idealism and almost all the articles related to it need to be either rewritten or expanded, because a wikipedia user called Lestrade has, among other things, taken it upon himself to imbue each page with bias in favour of Schopenhauer, who he attempts to present as having the last say in everything. This is a terrible thing to do, because German Idealism is such an important period in philosophy, whose influence is still strongly felt today.
- Protected Values first section confuses right action and values and needs a copy edit, moving and wikifying
- Ludwig Wittgenstein is having its FA status reviewed due to a couple of concerns. Help save Ludwig! See Wikipedia:Featured article review/Ludwig Wittgenstein for requirements for retaining FA status.
- Quality (philosophy) needs a more clear explanation.
- Socratic dialogues could do with some tidying and clarification. See the talk page for one suggested change.
- Problem of universals: The introductory definition is (perhaps) fixed. But, the article is poor. Check out the German version.
- Teleology: the article is shallow and inconsistent.
- Existentialism: the quality of this article varies wildly and is in desperate need of expert attention.
- Star of Sophia Vote for or nominate someone you think is deserving!
- Analytic_philosophy This is a very major topic, but still has several sections which are stubs, and several topics which are not covered.
- Inverse (logic) This article makes me wish that there were a fail grade on the quality scale. Someone should rewrite it.
[edit] Nursing & RCN
Here are some tasks you can do to help with WikiProject Nursing:
- Requests: Frances Reed Elliot (the first African American in the American Red Cross Nursing Service), Virginia Henderson
- Attention: Nursing, Nurse, Nursing in the United Kingdom
- Expand: NCLEX-RN, NCLEX-PN
- Stubs: Nursing Diploma School nursing, Nurses Registration Act
- Categorize existing photographs, texts, etc. into Associated WikiMedia category "Nurse" (see below).
- Contribute a photograph to be used as the Nursing Portal logo - see Science Portal for examples.
I see you've done lots of work on Nursing (United Kingdom), would you fancy taking a look at the Royal College of Nursing, as I'm getting bogged down with it. — Rod talk 18:55, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Health care
FYI: I support your proposal in Talk:Health care. -AED 09:59, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dalai Blama
You added a {{cleanup-ipa}} tag to the article Dalai Lama. What is this referring to?—Nat Krause(Talk!) 04:01, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I know what you mean, but I don't see the text you are referring to that shows how a word is supposed to be pronounced. Can you give an example of what you mean?—Nat Krause(Talk!) 05:02, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Globalizing the occupational therapy article
Hey, just noticed that you added the tag to try and globalize the OT article. I agree that it needs to be more gloabalized, however, every single theoretical framework from OT are US-born. Only recently have other models of practice started being used, such as the Kawa River model, which is Japanese. --aishel 20:18, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Good work on personal development
A redirect to self-help as suggested by the AfD just would not cover those meanings as suggested by your recent changes to that page. Your changes match my initial search on Psychinfo and Proquest. I really don't think the page should be deleted. --Comaze 23:15, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
I noticed you removed these external links from the article:
It is true that they would promote their authors, but this happens with any article, and we cannot eliminate from Wikipedia all external links to articles.Dl.goe 19:02, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
I have reinstated them --Vince 02:29, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kyleakin
Clan Akins is the origin of the name Kyleakin? Not according to the article, it says its derived from Strait of Haakon. The only reference i've been able to find for the origin of the surname Akins is: a variant of Aiken, Aitken, a petform of Adam. No mention of Kyleakins. That is why i removed it.
[edit] Ontario Mental Health Act
Just in case you were not aware, Ontario is usually considered part of Canada - not the United States. Maybe we need a new catagory. I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia. -- RTC 00:52, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Nurses
Hi Vince, I sincerely sympathize with your concern, and I'm not entirely surprised that someone was unhappy about that. If there was some way to put it lower down on the page, I assuredly would have done so. FYI, I also added the same link on Category:Physicians, after I discovered that Category:Doctors convicted of murdering their patients was no longer a sub-cat. The problem is that it's name was changed in a recent CFD. With the new name & scope, it no longer works as a sub-cat of either profession, and I'm concerned that readers are unlikely to think to look for it in the parent cat, Category:People in health professions. I myself did not agree with the renaming; I argued for profession-specific categories. I don't think anybody foresaw the problem that would be created by removing the category from its former parent.
Hmmm. Tell you what -- I'm going to revert the edit for now, and try to come up with a better solution. Regards, Cgingold (talk) 13:06, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
