I strongly suspect that this article on Vincent Ryan is bogus. Played for youth club in 1930s aged 5 according to infobox. Even Wayne Rooney was not that good. I suspect infobox has been borrowed from Johnny Carey article. Can anybody verify it ? Djln --Djln (talk) 00:54, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Probably the article creator copied and pasted the infobox code from the other article in order to over-write it but saved the article before doing so..... ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:06, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

• I have done a lot of research into Irish players from this era while contributing to Ireland national football team (1882-1950) and Dual Irish international footballers. I cannot find any on-line evidence of him playing for either of the Irish national teams. He is not listed here [2] for example or [3] here. The IFA last selected players from the Republic in 1950. Ryan would have been 15 at time according to birth date given here. As a result I have removed these teams from infobox. Djln--Djln (talk) 20:52, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
