Villeneuve-les-Corbières is a commune in the Aude département in southwestern France.
It is on the D611, a very scenic road which twists and turns through many similar small villages. There is not much in Villeneuve les Corbieres but the village does have a Distri-Cabanel (a grocery shop), a small bar restaurant, called Le Corbierou, a post office and a DIY and electrical supply shop.
Villeneuve Les Corbieres is only 45 minutes from the beaches and makes a good base to explore Cathar country. There are over a dozens castles all within one hours drive of Villeneuve Les Corbieres. There are Gites to rent in the village that can be booked on gitesdefrance.fr website. Perpignan airport is only one hour away and has daily flights to the U.K. Toulouse is just over two hours away, B.A. and Air France both fly to/from there.
